Roebling Roadtrip: How to engineer an aqueduct

  • Roebling Museum 100 2nd Avenue Florence Township, NJ, 08554 United States (map)

Before John A. Roebling designed the Brooklyn Bridge, he used his engineering talents to built several aqueducts. In fact, the oldest remaining wire rope suspension bridge is a Roebling aqueduct and his work put into action ideas that changed the way bridges were built forever.

In a virtual lecture Professor Paul C. King from the department of Architectural Technology at New York City College of Technology will share details about Roebling's approach to engineering suspension aqueducts.
