I bet you’ve never been on a garden tour in a former company town!
The Garden Tour is coming back in 2021 and we hope you’ll join us. On June 5th, Roebling Museum is planning a safe and fun opportunity for people of all ages to get together and celebrate the beautiful weather and local gardens in the town famous for building America’s most iconic bridges.
When the Roebling steel plant was open and homes in the company town were owned by the company, many of the workers and their families grew gardens with flowers as well as food. The Roebling Company would sponsor competitions to encourage residents to tend to their gardens and keep their properties looking well-cared-for.
Continuing this tradition with our Garden Tour builds pride in our community and gives residents a chance to show off their green thumbs!
Tickets are $15 dollars each and will help support Roebling Museum as we plan to reopen to the public this summer.
