Garden Tour

  • Roebling Museum 100 2nd Avenue Florence Township, NJ, 08554 United States (map)

I bet you’ve never been on a garden tour in a former company town!

On June 10th, come to Roebling Museum to celebrate the beautiful weather and local gardens in the town famous for building America’s most iconic bridges.

When the Roebling steel and wire rope mill was open and homes in the company town were leased to workers, many of the families grew gardens with flowers as well as food. The Roebling Company would sponsor competitions to encourage residents to tend to their gardens and keep their properties looking well-cared-for.

Continuing this tradition with our Garden Tour builds pride in our community and gives residents a chance to show off their green thumbs!

Guided and self-guided tour tickets are available online now
