NEXT SATURDAY, MARCH 23RD! 11AM-4PM
Make and Create on New Jersey Makers Day @ the Roebling Museum
New Jersey Makers Day is a celebration of maker culture across the Garden State. This all-ages event connects individuals with libraries, schools, businesses, and independent makerspaces that support making, tinkering, crafting, manufacturing, and STEM-based learning. The primary goal is to enhance community engagement and facilitate connections among New Jersey residents by exploring new and interesting opportunities for community-wide education, entrepreneurship and hands-on learning experiences.
Kids and their families can join the Roebling Museum for a variety of activities, including: mobiles with yarn and craft sticks, designing their own “art-bots,” and casting and building activities with materials like kinetic sand.
Museum staff and volunteers will help children and their families experience a day of fun projects that teach STEAM concepts in new and interesting ways. More than fun and games, families that attend Makers Day can enjoy becoming junior engineers and designers as they learn, play, and turn STEAM ideas and concepts into tangible experiences.
NJ Makers Day will run from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019. Admission is $5 dollars per person. Children age 5 and under get in for FREE. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
Experience the Roebling legacy with your children, through STEAM learning and play!
