MY MUSEUM, MY COMMUNITY! (Grades 2-4)- 1 hour
What is a museum? Communities just like the Village of Roebling support museums that preserve their history and act as destinations. Discover the people and things that make museums special!
WIRED! (Grades 4 – 12)- 2 hours
Discover the science of steel! After an introductory film, students will learn about the process of manufacturing steel cable and how wire rope changed the built world. Students will test a variety of “wires” to determine tensile strength and load.
AMAZING ARCHITECTURE! (Grades 4 – 7)- 2 hours
Explore the architecture of bridges! This workshop will emphasize the engineering terms and basic concepts used to build bridges. Students will watch the museum’s introductory film before being introduced to the architectural features of bridges and challenged to build bridges using a variety of materials.
$5 per student per activity
$6 admission per adult/chaperone
*1 adult/chaperone will receive free admission for every 10 students.
